Questions people ask
Straight answers, nothing hidden.
Something we haven’t covered? Email us and we’ll answer plainly.
Is it really free?
Yes. Recording, polishing, mixing and sharing are free — no card, no trial clock. No ads, no trial clock, no locked studio. If you find it useful and want to help keep it running, you can choose to support us — entirely up to you.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser on a laptop or a phone. If you like it, you can add it to your home screen or desktop so it opens like an app.
Do the people I send it to need an app or an account?
No. They tap the link and press play. It opens in the browser they already use.
Can I tell whether anyone listened?
Each link shows how many times it was played and on how many devices. Only you can see that — your listener sees nothing.
Can I use my own music?
Yes. Add an MP3 or WAV file of your own, or use the calm tracks built in. Relaxifi keeps the music sitting gently under your voice.
What if I stop halfway through a take?
Press space to pause and start again whenever you need. If the tab closes by accident, your latest take is kept on your computer and comes back when you return.
Can I download the finished file?
On the free version, your recording saves to your Library and comes with a private listening link. Downloading the file itself is a thank-you for people who choose to support Relaxifi — your clients can always listen free.
What happens to my recordings?
They stay in your own Library until you delete them. They are not used to identify your voice and are not routinely listened to. The privacy notice sets out the details.
Is there a catch?
No. Everyone gets the full studio. We are a small UK company, so to keep it free for everyone the Library holds 10 recordings and you can save three new ones a day.
Free to use
Free for everyone. Supporting us is optional — and always will be.
